A Diwali Writeup from a guest writer, a very good friend of mine. No editing, posted in all its original glory. Enjoy, and happy Diwali to all my readers!
He stood by the corner, looking at the bright explosions, filling the sky with joy. He stood by the corner, looking at little children play, who looked as bright as fireworks he saw in the sky. He stood by the corner, looking at families meet and celebrate with love. He saw love and warmth bloom in front of his very own eyes. They bloomed like the fireworks. The fireworks, he found them remarkable. They filled the sky with different colours, and took the darkness away. But he sat in the corner, away from all of it. He craved for it. He craved for love. He craved for friends. He craved for those fireworks, lighting the sky to light his world too. But all he could do was look at his own creation work. His own creation. Those fireworks. Tears streamed down his cheeks. And a small hand, smudged in dust touched the window, longing to reach out.
