#CecilTheLion.

As man progressed, he realized the importance of protected parks for animals. Then he began cataloguing his progress with trophies. And now, all of those protected parks are nothing but a mere eyewash, for man’s growing greed for trophies has overcome everything that stands in his path. And today we’ve come to a standstill in our progress, and we’re perhaps moving backwards, for the world grieves the death of Cecil, the magnificent lion. How long is this going to continue? How long before man realizes that nature has and will avenge what he takes from it? How long before we are but mere shells of the humans that we used to be?

How long will it take before humanity wakes up and throttles the uprising of people like Walter Palmer? We say that animals have suffered enough, and now it’s humanity that must suffer for making those proud eyes falter with suffering, terrible suffering of torture.

Recalling the words of Amy Poehler, Cecil, your roar will be remembered worldwide, and it is the remembrance of that roar that we will take up as a battle cry.

We won’t forget, not this time. We will avenge.
