I once posted a question here, which stated something along the likes of, “What
is the difference between a mind and a brain?” Inspiration struck, and I
decided to pen down this article.
There is this one saying, which calls the mind both a beautiful servant, and a dangerous master. Beauty cannot conquer unpredictability. The mind is a powerful weapon, all revolutionary actions in history stemming straight from our thoughts.
They say serial killers have a brilliant mind, sick and twisted, but brilliant all the same. After all, unusual actions spark our curiosities. We thrive on finding out the exact reason for each happening, struggling to find out why, just why anything happens. And this curiosity is our mind, hungry for knowledge, hungry for the power that comes with knowledge.
And how is this mind a beautiful creature? The depths of the mind are much more impassable than the universe itself. The thought processes go on and about in a minuscule span of a fraction of a second, it taking just thirteen milliseconds to see an image.
The Mind is you. What you think of and what you believe in consumes your thoughts and mind. So then it’s only natural if your thoughts choose to let your mind overpower you. The mind is a rational weapon, often proving to the world how wit is better than muscle. Your logic and your conscience only constitute those morals which you believe to be righteous, so in the end, it’s your logic that wins, whether virtuous or twisted to your benefits.
The mind is a formidable weapon, meant to be honed. Whether you let it stand against you, or for, is actually up to you.
