"Maybe I needed to take a chance.
Maybe I needed to do something crazy and unexpected and unlike myself.
Maybe that's what you needed to do,
to figure out who you are and what you wanted in this world.
...
If there was one thing I'd learned,
If there was one thing I'd learned,
it was to figure out what exactly made you happy.
What made you want to get up on the rooftops and
show everyone how deliriously wonderful you feel.
To figure out what made you feel proud of yourself.
What made you feel like you belonged.
And then never let it go."
So true.
ReplyDeleteSomehow it reminds me of this quote- 'Life isn't about finding yourself, it's about creating yourself.' For someone who rambles through life as confused and unsure of his place as me, this makes a lot of sense. I've finally come to realize that the real you isn't sitting out there, waiting for you to find it. It's inside you, perhaps just waiting for a chance to shine through. And if you don't take risks, if you don't put yourself out there, how will you ever know what your life is capable of being?
Is it just me, or does WWS bring out the philosopher in everyone?
I guess the Philosopher inside you was waiting for a chance to Shine through.
DeleteAs always, you have my gratitude for sharing your amazing opinions with me.
And yes, "To know what Life is worth, you have to Risk it once in a while."
I believe in the fact that you need to pen your own life by risking and creating glorious moments and memories, and weave it into a story that will enrapture readers both around you and after you. So, maybe the person you've always dreamed of becoming is inside you, waiting for a chance to be molded and showcased by You.
