Dear Diary,

I’m going to start this entry the way I always do. What is isolation, exactly? Google says: The process or fact of isolating or being isolated. But we know that’s not it, don’t we?
Unless it’s a quarantine measure, isolation almost always brings sadness due to lack of company. I agree that we need our alone time, but what if the alone time consumes all the time we have? They say, sometimes noise is unbearable. But, what about silence? Here’s what people have to say about one of the quietest rooms on Earth: “You are used to having all these sounds around you, and then you don’t anymore, so you start to panic.” I believe that loneliness does the same thing to us.
The problem is down, but what about the solution now? Humans are social beings; we exist and thrive among people all our lives. You could say that we are kind of built that way. Running away from things, and keeping yourself alone isn’t always the way to deal with things. Although, some of us may think au contraire. I know my point is vague, but to get the gist of it, I would just like to leave you with a single sentence: Run away from isolation, not right into it!
